Finance Manager - Stoke-On-Trent

The RP Recruitment Group are currently supporting the recruitment requirements of a market leading North-Staffordshire based manufacturer which is seeking a high-calibre Finance Manager to take a key position within their business.

The Finance Manager will have has the fundamental objective of developing the organisation’s systems and processes in order to optimise the quality of management information available to support robust commercial decision making and to monitor business effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Development of business reporting to effectively monitor business performance.
• Act as a Finance Business Partner to non-financial stakeholders across the business.
• Lead/support cost challenge and overhead review exercises. Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts.
• Budgeting and Forecasting.
• Product costing.
• Margin analysis.
• Scenario analysis of export business proposals.
• Manage the team of 8 finance department/admin.
• Finance support to subsidiary businesses.
• Annual insurance renewal workings.
• Produce annual pension scheme accounts.

Candidate Specification:

• Graduate calibre Qualified Accountant with 3 years or more PQE.
• Experienced user of ERP systems.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills to include:
• ODBC data extracts.
• Advanced formulas and functions.
• Automation with macros/VBA.
• Advanced filtering and sorting.
• Pivot tables.
• Data manipulation.
• Previous business partnering experience and a degree of commercial/operational exposure.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy and the capability to pro-actively develop high quality management information and to bring new insight to the business.
• A demonstrable track record of achievement gained within a manufacturing business (ideally a process based manufacturer).
• A tenacious self- starter with high levels of energy and drive and taking a personal pride in their work.
